About Laura

Laura Rose Phillips is the inaugural Curator for Visual Arts and Objects at the Medical Historical Library, Harvey Cushing / John Hay Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. She is an art historian by training with dual expertise in histories of science and professional experience working with scientific collections. She received her Ph.D., with distinction, from the Department of the History of Art at Yale University in May 2020 and since then, has held postdoctoral teaching and curatorial positions, as well as research appointments at Yale University and the Freie Universität Berlin.
